Pray for Joseph

Several months back our Sunday School class became aware of a family who was living in Memphis for six weeks while their son received daily radiation at St. Jude for a brain tumor. Our class decided to take meals to them during their stay so Matt and I had the opportunity to meet their family. I have continued to keep up with them through their blog
and thought that some of you might want to add them to your prayer list. Joseph had a third brain surgery earlier this month and has struggled recently in his recovery. They are a wonderful Christian family and are in need of as much prayer as possible!

The Countdown

That's right, my friends, our Grove tent is named after a shrimp. It was one of those we're-at-the-beach-and-having-frosty-beverages-and-it-seems-like-a-good-idea-at-the-time ideas.

Anyway, our season opener against Memphis (boo Memphis) is just a little over a month away and excitement is starting to mount around our house. Matt and his friends are throwing out predictions left and right. Matt is super excited about having a new coach this year and all I can do is giggle because his name is Nutt (yes, I'm that immature). So, to get the rest of you excited about some Rebel football I thought I'd share with you some photo highlights from last season!!

Two Eight

Last week I turned 28. Yikes, 30 is getting too close for comfort! Thanks to all you peeps who called and sent cards, texts and emails. I've never felt so popular!! Matt got a group of my friends together for dinner and we went to get sushi at DO (pronounced doe). It was wonderful and I had so much fun being with everyone.

I never...

Ok, I admit it...I am addicted. I am totally powerless over blog stalking. So, it seems only fitting that I create my own blog right? However, (while it seems fine for others to have blogs) I feel that starting my own blog seems down right pretentious, even bordering on narcissistic. I mean, who really wants to read about my life?? I vowed that I would never have a blog without at least having a baby to blog about, but here I am babyless blogging.

This is not the first time I've vowed never to do something:

Exhibit A: "I'll never let my pet get on my furniture"

Exhibit B: "I'll never have a myspace page"

Exhibit C: "I'll never wear leggins"
